Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 13)
Dear Families and Friends,
I’ll continue where I’ve left off, in the previous post I’ve posted a few of the Candle photos taken when I was at Guernsey Candle Shop. It was an eye opener because you can see different types of candles from sizes to smells. After visiting the candle shop we walked back to the bus stop where we stop. The problem we face is the frequent of buses coming over here. At last we made up our mind to walk back out to the town. The walk was killing because it took us almost an hour to reach town. My legs are killing me telling me to stop walking. We’re not build to walk that far.
After an hour we finally arrive at town, Norman, Nicholas and I was so glad to see the town. That was the last time we travel over there because it was difficult to catch a bus over there. One thing that we’re frustrated was after that when we travel back home everyday after work it will pass by that place..sigh… On Sunday we wanted to visit another place and end up having an hour bus ride. The lady forgotten about us, we informed her once we board the bus that we wanted to go to the location and stop us there once reached. Then Nicholas and Norman drop at the place we stay but I continue to another attraction. I went to Guernsey Pearls and Fort Grey was opposite the road. I didn’t walked up to fort as I wanted to go to see the pearls. I went in and I saw a lots of pearls designed into different types of accessories.

Inside the store you can pay a price and pick a clamp that confirm that there is a pearl inside and once open the people there will value the pearl and you can either sell it back to them or keep it. We can use it to design our own accessories from pendant to ring. I went around the store and have a look around and saw there are different types of pearl rings which I bought one for my wife on the second visit. It was a surprise to her. She only knew about the ring during our wedding dinner. In the store there is one dress that full of pearls and it stated is the same to Princess Diana dress.

After visiting the Guernsey pearls, I waited for my bus to fetch me back home…….
Ok…enough of place visiting stories…now some of the food and tidbits that I bought for the past couple of weeks. I most excited one is Gordan Ramsay pasta sauce..yummy…just bought a bottle to try. Then thanks to my housemates who introduced me into eating potato chips from the brand Walkers.

There is one afternoon we went out lunch with our trainers in a seafront restraunt. It was nice and cosy. We’ve our table at the upper deck overlooking the port and sea.. I have my lamb for lunch..it seems our Asians took heavy food as lunch compare to European..paiseh..lucky didn’t order the salad…hahahaha!!!!

Got myself some clothes..I was in a shopping spree…because I can find all my sizes clothes that easy…and is cheap do..bought some Tees as well to my wife and her sisters…

Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 12)

Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 11)
Hi there,
I’m back to continue where I left off from my previous post. After we had our time at The Oat Village we walk to Guernsey’s Freesia Center. It took us about 5minutes to 10minutes walk from the Oatland Viallage. We walk in the wrong direction and end up at the back of the Freesia Center. Hahahaha.. At the back of the center we can see many green house that is for the flowers they’re growing. A couple walks further down we end up inside the Center. Took a few glimpse of it and we head out and saw a few green houses that let visitor to have a look and check out the flowers by themselves.
Once I step into one of the green house I was greeted with a nice smell..the fresh flowers smells..which I have not experience this before. I was so excited that I have come and pay a visit to the center. Inside the green house there are many different kinds of flowers that they’ve grow. I’m sorry I can’t name one all of it because I’m not that into flowers but I do have some nice photograph that I took to share with you all. I hope you all enjoy it.

Head further up we saw a small shop from Mark & Spencer. We went it to have a look and thought having our quick lunch at there. Just grab a drink and a sandwich will do for the day. Hm.. thinking it all back our life over there was just like that..simple and easy going. I Love the style of living because not much traffics and airs is good. Ha…wish to be back there again. Okay..continue back. We didn’t get ourself some food and we thought of going back to the town to feast ourself some nice chips and a can of cola..Em..em.. I get to know that the Guernsey Candle shop is just nearby but we didn’t know where is it. We saw a mother with her kids on the side of the road and we stop her and ask her for directions but too bad she just move to Guernsey not long ago and not sure where is it..sigh.. nevermind but at least she is nice..

While walking aimlessly to find the shop, the houses leading to the shop at the road side has a beautiful garden with all kinds of flowers planted. I have some photograph that I want to share with you all as well. After around 15minutes walk from the center we found the Candle shop. At the outside is just like a normal shop but when you walk into the shop is a whole lot of different story. More to it next time…hahaha…
Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 10)
Hello there!
I’m back again for another post of my trip to Guernsey. I really hope that everyone of you enjoy reading my blog. I’ve moved myself out from reviewing stuff from a moment because I need to spend some time to finish up my journey in Guernsey. Previous post I stopped at The Oatlands Village and I’ll continue where I left off.
In the The Oatlands Village there are a lot of small shops that selling different stuff like what I did mentioned at my previous post. There is one cute coin box that I like but I didn’t buy it. Haha..aim is to watch and snap photograph. Hehe..The coin box has the shape of a dinosaur with different name on it or you can have your family membersaures.. The shop even sell greeting cards to pebbles and etc. I’ll recommend that you spend a couple of minute to have a look inside the shop. You might buy one or two things.
Another shop which is recommended by the travel guide is the Rebecca’s Shop. The shop made chocolate and fudge. There is a lot of flavor of fudge and shapes so do chocolates. Wanted to come back to this shop and get some fudge back home Malaysia but endup didn’t go there again. Sigh.. We took our first Guernsey Milk ice-cream from this shop. It taste superb. We’re love it so much.
Below are some pictures that I took of different flavour of chocolates and fudge and SHAPES! I LOVE SHEEP!
That’s not all..there is one shop are selling and displaying miniature houses and the accessories. It was so real but the price is quite high to collect those. If you want to collect everything I think I need to earn alot..haha..
After browsing all the shops that located inside The Oatlands Village we headout to our next destination which is the Guernsey Freesia Center. Continue at my next post..
Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 9)
Dear Families and Friends,
Well, I was chatting my sis Yvonne Yap and she reminded me that I have a long long time that I didn’t update my blog or post anything new. Hm.. let me see what I did..Oh… too busy with other stuff..hahaha.. I would like to continue where I left off from my previous post. At my previous post I was talking about splashes of water on the barrier..and continues…
It was another weekend and me and pals went around the island for some sightseeings. During this time I’m getting to love Guernsey very much. Weather to peoples. The photo posted here is where we used to waited our bus during the weekend and this board is the place that I stay for the past 3 months.
Today, I be the tour guide again..having just a book and map on my hand we took a bus to the airport and interchanged to another bus to Oatlands Village. Read some reviews on some brouchere and Internet. I think we should make a visit to that place after all we have come here so far. We informed the bus driver to stop us at the place because he was busy talking to another passenger he almost forgotten about three of us. We almost pass the place and Norman saw the sign and ask for a stop. Thank god.. We stop outside the place and we need to walk cross the road.
This place is quite cool because it has quite a few attraction in just one place. Is good for family outings. We did saw a family playing the mini golf. Great! There a lot of stuff that they sell. From watches to gold chain..ICE CREAM!!!
This is the mini golf course..it was so beautiful that I can’t miss the chance to have it photographed and me at here as well..
everyone of us do take this chance to photograph the moment.
Inside the village there is Aquatic centre. Although is not that big but is great for the kids to spend some time to look around.. They even sell fishes to aquarium and the deco…
There is an area that for kids to have fun. There is a huge trampoline..mini race cars..and some ride..my pal was having fun on one of it.. look at those photos..
Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 8)
Dear Friends & Families,
Previous posts, I have been traveling around the island capturing the moments that I had and sharing with you all. People always says that “A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words”. that is why during my younger times I always has this film camera with me capturing the candid moments. During my trip here I met a lot of nice people and visiting nice places. If giving me a chance to travel another week over to the island and I would love to.
Last post that I written about visiting the Little Chapel. The place was magnificent and the scenery was absolute fabulous. The next day after work, my colleague and I went for a evening walk to a fort just 15minutes away from the place we are staying. Staying in the island is walk and walk. If not will be traveling by bus. It was small fort that during the war the Germans built to fortify the island. Many surfers do surf at the beach nearby and some just hanging around just to enjoy the day.
Then we walked another 30minutes to a bigger fort. While were walking to the fort we did stop by a nearby restaurant to take a photograph for a remembrance. While I was back home I did search the Internet for place to have nice food and this place came out from the list. The restaurant name was Crabby Jack’s. There are some positive and negative feedback about the restaurant and I will talk about it next time. The place was nice and ample parking space for the diners.
Then we continue our journey to the fort. We saw a wooden shelf at the road side and it is meant to sell local produce fruits and vegetables. The concept is good but is bad idea back home here. Hahahaha..I hope you know what I means.. The fort that we were heading to is called Fort Hommet.
The total journey from our place that we stay to the Fort took us 30minutes+. The walk was tiring but when you can see the nature and great scenery the tiresome will just faded out. Then there is many spiky and thorny plants. I still remember that one time that I was trying to snap a photo of the plant and there was another at my back. I can feel that thorn was poking behind my back.. Ouch!
It was at the top of the cliff where the fort was built I took a chance to snap a photo at a nearby cliff where the sea was just behind me. If I missed a step I will bid farewell to everyone. The sound of the sea water crashing to the rocks were awesome. We spend almost 10 to 12 minutes snapping photos and my colleague was exploring higher. Capturing the moments in the higher ground.
After that we walked to the fort and we was stopped by a lovely dog which has a cold and long fur. The dog owner was nice and instructed the dog to let us to pat and snap a few photograph. The dog is really well trained.
As we walked towards the fort, one of our colleague took a photograph of both us and it was a great photo. Thank you! We managed to go in the fort but not into the fort because the doors was sealed up so we just able to take some photos outside. Is still great. After spending another 10 to 15minutes we prepared to walk back to our place we stayed to call a day off.
While we were walking down from the fort and we saw a Siberian Husky. It was so beautiful and we took a few photograph and have a short chat with the owner. Half way back to our place we noticed that the sea level has increased and the waves is rushing to shores and hitting the barrier splashing the sea water up a few feet..It was like.. see the photo then you will know..
I think I stop writing here and continue more…the next post… See you…
Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 7)
Dear Friends & Families,
I’m back to continue my stories and sharing my experiences during my trip to Guernsey. Well another week is past and it was Saturday and another day a few of us head out to the town again. This time we went for lunch and a little shopping. We then walked to the Aquaria. I’ve forgotten how much we pay for the entrance fee but I think is about GBP10+ per person. Well I will not recommend you to go and see this aquaria because there are not much things to see..

Even back home Aquaria KLCC is much more better or Langkawi..sigh..a rip off for us. After that we walked to the bus terminal and during our journey to the terminal we drop by a spot. Is some sort of memorial thingy. It has a minature with 24 hours CCTV monitored.. Gosh..so high tech.. Didn’t do much on this Saturday but instead on Sunday we took a bus to the Little Chapel. It was so beautiful and little..you can see me in the photos and compare how little the chapel is. You can always google the history about this little chapel. It has a great history. The wall was fitted porcelain tiles and ceramic. I did donate a few pounds and a sign in the book.. hope the next time I return my name is still in the book.
After an hour at the chapel taking photographs we went to wait for the next bus to bring us to the town and have our lunch. Where we will have our lunch again? no better than Santana.. haha.. after lunch we around the town and explore further the town and found a quiet spot or garden where we can just chill out for a moment. About time to go home we walk back to the terminal and we only knew that there is a carnival during the morning. What a waste but we still able to try some cheese..there are a few types of cheese for us to try from mild..medium and…STRONG!! The mild was nice… the medium..ahem..still acceptable and as for the strong ones…gosh…my friend was nearly to puke.

The next day, after work me and my friend walk from our house to the fort nearby..more about that next post…
I have my own Photo blog!
Dear Friends & Families,
I have just created a photo blog and show case my work.. is still amateur works and I’m learning to improve my works… feel free to click the link below…

Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 6)
Dear Friends & Families,
Previous post I had shown you some of the Berries that I had tasted during the 3 months trip to Guernsey. At Guernsey I got a very healthy life compare back home here. Back home is always hectic and pressure. Gosh! How I wish to be back there. At Guernsey the work life balance is really balance compare back here at home. Things is much cheaper and air is much more fresher. Haha.. Now dreaming when I’ll be back at Guernsey to enjoy the life over there. Maybe I might just retired at there. Let’s get back to the real life should we?
Many of friends and families members always sending me messages during my stay at Guernsey mentioning that most of my photos are food only. Haha!! Well I like to eat that is why all or most of the photos are regarding about foods. Haha!! During my stay at Guernsey what I took more during my dinner was Spagethi.. I had tried a lot type of sauce. Now back home when I see spagethi it will remind me the ordeal during the stay. I did got a chance to try the noodle box. I always see it inside the movies so I must try it out. Went to the shop an ordered a box with RED Thai Chicken Noodles. Well it do help to cure some of the sickness for longing for food that taste same back home.
Then at one Friday before we went back home we went to a Chinese Takeaway and I had a set meat share with one of my colleague. The food was not bad and it took us two days to finish off the food. Thank god.. problem was the fried rice that was tasteless and the portion wasn’t enough for two. Haha!!
Saturday we went to the Flea Market at Saumarez Manor. During the journey to the place we managed to take a glimpse on the sheeps that I mentioned earlier before this post. The place even have many different type of shops and the best part during one of the weekdays there is a Ghost trip around the mansion. Wuuuuuuuu…….. The market do sell foods to flowers and glasses.. after a stroll at the market we took a bus to the town and get our lunch. One of our hang out spot. Santana!..
Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 5)
Dear Friends & Families,
Previous post I did mentioned that this post will be Berrilicious.. Hahaha… I feel myself was very healthy during my stay at Guernsey because everyday I will drink fruits juice, eat fruits, walk to a bus stop and not to mention is the fresh air. Hm… I love the place when I a thought it back all the things I did over there.
During my stay at Guernsey I did had the opportunity to try a lot of food that I have been drooling for it. Especially all the fruits that you seldom get it fresh from here back home. At Guernsey I did try a lot of berries. Yummy!!! Let me see.. my first berry was.. Raspberry! Gosh that was nice.. then I did tried the Blackberries..then…Blueberries.. Red Grapes.. Green Grapes.. Black Grapes..Peaches.Nectar..
Raspberry!
Blackberries..
That was the fruits that I tasted during my stays at Guernsey. I might left some outs well it has been more than 6 months from today. Well get back to the story. Sunday we went out to the town only get to know that the shops around the town was closed. They don’t do business on Sundays. We were left nothing to do but wandering around. The town was like a dead town in the game of Resident Evil. The ladies was with us and insisted us to bring them to try out the fish and chips so we have another round after yesterday. Haha.. without so many people on the street we able to snap photo us, things and buildings. While we were wandering the streets we met a nice man that told us he is a dog trainer and introduce the dogs that he trained.

Then we walked to pier and saw a lot of seagulls as wells boats from different sizes. I was on the bridge and I fell a little nausea because the bridge was built on top of the sea. After nothing much to do at the town we took bus back to our apartment and prepare for dinner. Me and one of my colleague share our dinner for the 3 months and we bought 2 large cold pizza back to oven it and we only oven one of it. We made a mistake to over it extra 5minutes and when take it out to eat, it turn to be like eating a stone bread.. haha.. One thing that we liks so much our apartment is our balcony is facing the sea and when sun sets we can always have a look of it. We will lying outside the chair with our sweater because the wind was chilling and watch sunsets.. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!

During our training at Guernsey our Business Partner invited us to a Go-Kart race. We were so excited because we Malaysian always has this adrenaline for speed. Thought we can win but end up we all was the last.. I was speechless.. All our business partner were very adhere to the rules on the roads but when came down to the track they were like demon on the wheels.. Salute them.. There was one incident that a few of us crash together at the bottleneck.. The whole race was fun and we all wanted to have a second race back home.. Yahoo!!!

The Malaysian Team!

Always Remember!!!!

Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 4)
Dear Friends & Families,
After looking back at my blog statistics, I saw there is still a few numbers of people coming back to read my blog and I’m very grateful that you came back for some updates. I hope that I keep my blog updated as much as possible. Previous post I mentioned that I lost my appetite during the first week at Guernsey and I’m losing weight fast. Thanks for the chocolate bar that I took and it brought back my appetite for food. Hahaha!!!

It was our first weekend at Guernsey and it was Saturday Morning and
I prepare all the infos that I need provided by our lovely Business partner and some that I Googled before I came over to Guernsey. We the GUYS woke up quite early and took a bus from right infront our apartment to the town.

The journey do takes a while because travel around the coastline of the island. It was a beautiful scenery and the cold breeze was nice even the sun was shinning so brightly. It was my first time that I saw a flock of SHEEP! I wanted to jump of the bus and go grab and hug one of them. The FUR was so thick. Reaching UK/Guernsey first thing that I told the guys is to snap a photo with the phone booth although is sound crazy. Hahaha.. Went we were there I think it was end of season for spring. The flowers was colourful and beautiful decorated all over the town. The town was having a month or more where every Saturday there is some performance in the town area. We did spend some time enjoy the music. A little tip is good for the entertainment. * Remember*

After a while hanging at the performance area which I forgotten the name then we head up to look for some food for lunch. I told the guys first thing we need to try is FISH & CHIPS! It was over the Internet telling us where to find nice FISH & CHIPS. We headed in to a store serve by a middle age man.
I might be ULU/Kampung Boy that I didn’t knew that we can select different types of fish for our FISH & CHIPS. My eyes was locked in to one of the fish when I was going through the menu. COD FISH! Eating a piece of COD FISH here is Malaysia is very expensive and I have great time eating one of it during my boss wedding dinner. Everyone of us ordered JUMBO COD and we thought it might end up very small because Malaysia always very small portion. When the man brought our food out, we were stunned! The FISH was so BIG! and the CHIPS was thick and a lot! We were so happy especially me having so big piece of COD fish all for my own. Hahaha!! Well remember to bring your own sauce because you will need to pay at least 10p for a packet of tomato/chilli/mayonise. We can just add the salt and vinegar which I think the vinegar we can just drink it down like water compare to those in our country same as the salt. Our salt a bit will make face turn.

After finished our lunch, we went around the town to walk aournd. Some window shopping and eye more moist.. hahaha!!! Saw a store selling numbers of perfumes, bookstore and etc. There one store the cupcake was nice and a kid was nagging for his parent for one. I snapped the scene and I would like to share with you all.
Then we headed to Mark & Spencer for some window shopping end up I bought myself a blazer. Walk walk and walk.. then I saw one of my all time favourite. ICE-CREAM!!! the stall is selling gelato type ice-cream and there are a lots of favourite and other small tidbits. Got myself a scoop in a cone Pepper Mint! It was reaching in the late evening and it was around 6pm and we went to Checkers Express to buy some food for our dinner.

Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 3)
Dear Friends & Families,
A brand new year and a brand new theme for my blog. Hope there is a few people is still reading what I’m writing. If not I think I might close down the blog. Hahaha.. it seems I spend most of my time with Cityville and MafiaWars. Well I would like to continue where I left of.
My colleagues and I checked in our nice apartment hotel and each

of us has our own room except for me which I need to share with one of my colleague.
The next day we were excited because is our first day in work “so called” in a foreign soil. We met a nice man who drove all of us in his mini MPV around the town showing around such as where to catch our bus and even brought us to get our monthly pass for the bus.
Thank you! He even showed us where we can hunt for our food during lunch and he brought us to a nearby sandwich store and I bought myself a bottle of apple juice and a box of spaghetti to bring back to the office pantry and eat it.
Then it was nice that our office come with some complementary drinks and which is one of my favourite during working hours. COFFEE!!!! It was my first time that I saw such a huge can of Nescafe GOLD! which we can’t buy it at Malaysia.
After a long day at the office undergoing training and is time to head back home and the nice man drove all us back home. In the evening, we guys wanted to explore the places nearby where we live so we walked out our apartment. It was so windy that most of can feel coldness of the air. One of my colleague was wearing sandals and he said that his feet was numb. I have recorded a video when we were outside. I can here the wind blowing fiercely. We did have a wonderful time at the outside enjoy the fresh wind blowing onto our face and we managed to snap some photos for remembrance.

One of my colleague try to touch the water and he said the water is like cold water that just brought out from the fridge. Gosh! After that the skins on face started to peel off due to the dryness and the cold weather. The next day, the nice man brought us to a hypermarket type called Checkers. I was like a kid in a candy store. I saw a lot of my favourite foods. ESPECIALLY CHEESE AND LOTS OF CHEESE!!

When I was there for the first week, I barely eat anything and I was losing weight fast. The bread and pork that I tasted was awkward and I don’t know how to describe to you all but is really different compare back home. Below is the picture of the bread and pork ham..

It was some rice and CHOCOLATE that brought back my appetite and from that onwards I was back to normal and started to tasting all the foods that I have wonder for all this time.

Catch up with you all later.. continue reading my next post…
Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 2)
Dear Friends & Families,
This is my continuous post which I left off. So we board our flight from Dubai International Airport to London Gatwick North Terminal. The whole journey took us around 7hours and more. I’ll never forget the whole flight journey because I was sitting next to my another colleague who is the same size with me. Haha.. so when I was having my meals in the plane it was like two giant sitting next to each other. Haha.. I managed to catch some sleeps in the plane.

We landed at London Gatwick North Terminal and we need to catch a bus which is free to bring us to the South Terminal to catch our next flight from Flybe to Guernsey. Once we checked in the South Terminal we have another couple of hours to wait for our flight so we spend the time walking around the airport duty free zone. Some of the stuffs is cheaper compare to the price back here but is not as in Guernsey which I found out. We wanted to surf the Internet at the ground floor waiting area but all the WiFi hotspots is not working at all. My colleague and I went to grab a hot soya drink that expensive and not worth to drink. Then only we found out that he overcharged both of us. Darn!

When it was our turn to check in our flight we move to the boarding area head to our plane. The plane is not those 747 or something but is pro paler plane. There is two rows with two seats each row. Inside the plane bought myself a bottle orange juice which cost me a couple of pounds and a small packet of dried fruits. The whole journey took us around one hour and we landed at Guernsey airport. We asked the people there whether we can have a short photograph with the plane and the people in charge give us the green light.

Took some photos with plane and the airport. Then we went to collect our luggages and walk pass the security checks and there standing waiting for us our business partner and two of our taxi driver. Got to introduced ourself and we push our luggages to the taxi which is waiting for us. Two of the taxi not able to fit all of us and our luggages so our business partner will have to fetch two of our colleague to our apartment.
My colleague and I share one taxi and the taxi driver was very friendly and me managed to have a short chat with him. We able to get what he try to say to us although sometime we need him to repeat himself because of his English accents. The taxi driver not just friendly but he drives very adhere to the rules not like Malaysian. I respect them! the journey took us around 15-30minutes from the airport and reached our apartment. The owner of the apartment greeted us and showed us our room which we will be staying for the next 3 months. We got ourself a 3 bedroom apartment which I share the room with my another colleague. The apartment is fully furnished and with WiFi ready! Great… (continue on my next post)

Travelling to Guernsey! (Part 1)
Dear Friends & Families,
I think that most of you knew that I was away from my country Malaysia for 3 months for business training at the other side of the globe. I was sent to Guernsey for 3 months for business training. It opens up my eyes to see the people and places at the European contingent. Firstly, I didn’t knew anything about Guernsey at all. Then one day I google around and found it to be a small island nearby to France and England. I was happy because I’m able to travel abroad for the first time alone.
A few of us were selected to join this expedition and a total of six of us. We flew off from KLIA and before that I was having my dinner with my family and my future in-laws. All of them wish me luck and my parent came with me to the airport to send me off. 3 months I won’t be having mum’s cooked food and hearing stories from dad and my lovely is not beside me to hug. Haha.. Reach KLIA and went to waiting point that six of us agreed earlier. Everyone was busy pushing their cart with their luggage and then we check-in our luggages. We took Emirates flight to Dubai then Dubai to London Gatwick and then from London Gatwick to Guernsey. The flight from London to Guernsey was with FlyBe. We’re very fortunate because we didn’t need to carry our luggages from London airport. We were told that our luggages will be send directly from KLIA to Guernsey without needing us to check-in our luggages again. We checked in as a group as their is a few kilo to spare. We were then separated to say goodbyes to our loved ones.

Then we went to the departure hall taking the elevator proceed to check-in. That night I was not feeling feel because I’ve a slight fever and I popped two tablets of panadol. My whole body was aching and while I sit I can feel that my whole back was killing me.
The journey to Dubai was a nightmare because I was sick. I can’t forget the food in the plane. The bread was cold and hard. Is like when you throw a stone to a dog. I was sick so I barely finish all the food but I drank a lot of juices and popped another panadol. I was so sick that I had no mood to watch any movies during the whole journey. Once landed at Dubai airport, I feel a little much better and we all head to the departure gate and wait for our connection flight. We were able to Facebook awhile but the line was so bad that pissed us off. Send smses back home to inform my whereabout. The journey from Malaysia to Dubai take us around 6hours and more. Then at the Dubai airport we needed to wait for another 3hours and more for our flight to London. It is a tiring journey.

Once our flight was ready and we checked in to our plane. It is much better compare to the flight from KLIA to Dubai. We got ourself a stretch of seats for the six of us. This joruney from Dubai to London Gatwick took us another 7hours.. (continue at the next post….)

Ole Bali!!! (Part 4)
Dear Friends & Families,
I know is my fault for not updating my blog that often anymore. Just never had a chance to get myself to write something in my blog. Just went back a few post and the last post was Ole Bali!!! (Part 3) so I was thinking to continue the story. I know it has been some months and I don’t think I cant remember all of it but I’ll try to put all the jigsaws together.
Well, our photoshoot was till very late and was thinking getting a taxi to another hotel that I booked before we flied to Bali. The another couple was asking whether the driver will be able to fetch them to their hotel so we might just hop on together and ask. They charge a small amount of fees to fetch us to our hotel but I think is worth it for us. The place that the Wedding shop provided was quite far to the place that I booked. Ours was at the Town area Kuta. The driver fetch the couple to their hotel then he fetch us to the Town at Kuta. I was shocked that the couple stay in the hotel was so.. ah.. don’t want to recall it but ours was… gosh! IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! hehehe..

We stay at J Boutique hotel at Kuta. Once we reached to hotel front entrance there is someone came out and invite and get our luggage into the hotel. The man was so friendly and the hotel was beautiful. Once we’re in the hotel, we quickly proceed to check-in our hotel room. Once we got our keys and we head to our room and our luggage arrive at our doorstep. We rest awhile and when down to the lobby and ask the man to usher us at the beginning, where we can look for food during that night. I asked for Mcdonalds but they told us the nearest we can get is KFC and so nice of them they try look up the KFC delivery telephone numbers for us. We can’t really understand the language their are speaking and we ask him to help us make the call first then we just place our order. *using our mobile phone not the hotel’s phone*
After awhile we went back to our room for some rest. Initially, we wanted to walk over to KFC because the man told us just a 15min walk from the hotel but it started to rain so we ordered our food to deliver to us at the hotel. When our food arrive the man brought the delivery man to our room and pass our orders to us. I was to my surprise that their snack plate type was with rice. When we search the Internet and we found out most of the fast food at Bali do serve with rice. Gosh.. My lovely was so happy because she can take rice in that particular hour and I have a small burger for myself. Oops! just telling you all about the food but not the room. Hehehe.. The room was nice.. it do looks new and the pattern on the wall so nice. We got ourself a king/queen size bed which I’ve forgotten. The room is Wi-Fi enable so it was great that my lovely can use her Nokia E66 to surf the Internet as well as me using my iPhone 3G. The toilet door is very funny. You can’t close it if you on the air ventilation inside the toilet. You need to off it then ask someone to on it at outside. I think without air ventilation is better because you won’t feel so cool during shower. If you don’t on the air ventilation the toilet light will not light up and just a small light at the mirror will on so is all up to you..
After my dinner/supper, rest awhile at the bed watching TV and surfing the Internet. Then I got up get a shower because after a long day of photoshoot you can feel how smelly you’re. Get a nice clean shower I’ll recommended to everyone. The weather at Bali was a killing. After the shower continue to Facebooking a while and watch some nice movies on TV. Then fall asleep till morning. The next morning we wakeup quite early and went for our breakfast in the hotel. Although the breakfast didn’t had much variety but is still okay. We got our food and went to travel agent inside the hotel and enquire the places we wanted to visit. The prices quoted to us wasn’t the one we wanted and even the places we wanted to go. We didn’t took the package and instead called the one travel agent that my lovely took previously when she came over with her sisters. Got a package for the next day to bring us to the places we wanted to go. We have the whole afternoon nothing to do so we walk to the KFC which the man mentioned last night and sightseeing around.
Along the road to the shopping center where the KFC located there is a lot of shops you can just go in for window shopping. The prices..well I don’t pay for that price for a Tee or a pant..that is my point of view. The weather was so hot. Feel like stay inside my hotel room but we had paid for the trip might as well just go forward. We walk around the shopping complex and I’m not sure what is the name but is quite okay.. is just like Mahkota Parade Malacca. The DVDs selling at Bali was a great bargain. I didn’t buy any of them and please don’t ask me why..if you happen to be at Bali go scout around. We walk around the town try to locate Hard Rock Bali but couldn’t find it and my patience starting to wear off. Thanks to the weather and the people around there looking at us like one kind. We went for SPA scouting and I was afraid to go to the wrong SPAs.. *you know.. Tell you all one thing.. the road that leads to our hotel I had walked up and down more than twice on that day itself.
At last found one SPA at a hotel but it was fully booked and we managed to squeeze 90 minutes out from them. During the SPA..again… I was snoring like pig even the masseur was laughing at me with my lovely..who cares.. I’m enjoying it.. Please don’t think otherwise.. After finish our SPA, we walked back to our hotel.. then have some photograph inside the hotel lobby and pool and glue ourself onto the bed watch TV..anticipating the next morning visiting the spots of Bali..The next morning our driver who will be driving us around the Bali island came quite early waiting for us at the lobby. We enjoyed our breakfast first then ask him to carry our luggage into the mini MPV..Avanza.. The first stop was Hard Rock Bali.. when he drove us there I was.. WTF! is just nearby but yesterday we took the wrong turn. Snap some photograph at Hard Rock Cafe. The cafe was under renovation and the store was close due to some festival.. which I get to know while along the way. We stop at a place where they so call manufacture the Kopi Luwak which I think nothing different to our Kopi O. Kopi O is much better! Is not cheap either.. The distance from once place to another is quite far so better plan ahead where you want to go..
Then we were brought to Ulun Danu which is a nice place to snap some photograph.
Remember to ask your driver to get entrance ticket for you as well because is different price. The weather was cooling as well. I like the weather over there. Maybe it located at the top of the hill. Btw beware of pickpockets which my lovely told me and remember not to take the buffet lunch or dinner.. the food is like malaysian food and is expensive! Wanted to eat the Babi guling but most of shop is closed for the festival.. Damn it! End up eating rice with some pork at a stall nearby a river.. haih.. The driver wanted to bring us to a temple some sort but I don’t feel like going because you need to pay for entrance fee and is grizzling. Next we went to Tanah Lot. The sea didn’t cover all the surface compare to some of my friends when over to Bali. After Tanah Lot we went to get some gifts for our families and friends. Prices..expensive.. Then head to the airport. The driver was below my expectations. He barely speak english or malay so don’t ask me for his contacts. Back to our homeland Malaysia!
Well, at last I cover all the Bali trip and I hope it helps everyone of you planning to go to Bali. Just feel free drop a few line or mail me if you want to know more details.
Ole Bali!!! (Part 3)
Dear Friends & Families,
Continue from my previous post, after we get back to our room to sleep the next morning my wife will need wakeup very early to have makeup done before breakfast. It was around 7:30am my wife wakeup and went out to have her makeup done.
I still remember that after he finished makeup and came in to the room to wake me up for breakfast. I was shock when I saw her with the dark makeup. I thought somebody else. This is the wonder of the girls with makeup. I wakeup blur blur and head to the dining hall to have my breakfast. It was so early I can’t finish the breakfast. After a few bite then I when back to the room and have a clean up.
Then the makeup artist give me some makeup and touch up of my face. This is my second time in my life to have makeup on my face. First was my play when I was at kindergarden which I have to makeup as a clown. After my makeup then my wife change to her wedding gown. She was so beautiful. Now I know why people says ladies in the wedding dress always so beautiful. We took some photos around the hotel area before we went down the beach to snap. It was very funny to dress up and walk around the beach then I need to do all the funny moves.
The photo session lasted till very late at night and the most memorable time when I need to carry my wife up in one of the photo. I was almost let go my wife. The makeup artist can see my hand can’t hold it anymore.
Ole Bali!!! (Part 2)
Dear Friends & Families,
I would like to continue where I left off from my previous post. At the previous post i mentioned that the tour guide that we book a few days ago before we left from Kuala Lumpur to Bali didn’t show up that he needs to.
After, we knew that the tour guide is not coming to pick us up we went to taxi booth to get ourselves a taxi to our hotel or villa that is provided by our bridal shop. When you walked out from the arrival hall turn left a walk a while then you will see a taxi booth on your right. Try google around the taxi fare to your hotel because they’re not using meter so check it out first before you say yes to any price. We waited a while for the taxi driver to help us with our luggage and send us to our villa. our villa is located at Jimbaran and from the airport you will see a big white statue. It seems like a god or people in the Bali fairytale. The taxi driver is quite friendly and he can speak English. While we on the way to the villa he will try to keep us company with some chats. We even ask him where can we have our sunset dinner.
He recommended us the one just 30 minutes walks from our villa. While we were on the way to the villa is all up the hill. No way I’m going to walk all the way down to have our sunsets dinner. When we reach the villa which is Pat Mase we are greeted with nice staff will help us with us with doors and get our luggage out for us. When we ask is our photographer and make-up artist arrived or not. Guess what they have no one with the name. Omyg! then we named a few of the bridal store staff until we hit the jackpot and allowed us to check-in. After we check-in the staff help us with our luggage and put into his buggy and send us to our villa. Our villa is a 3 bedroom villa. We check out the three room and we thought the rooms we can just choose one but I advised my wife to call back the bridal shop to check out which room is for us. Then they told us we can select any room which is smaller, one is at the ground floor and the other above our room.
There is a little disappointment when I check out the room of ours. The doors to our room is a glass door which is sliding and the door is out from the rail. I think the management need to do some upkeep of the villa. When we reach into the villa the private pool is still haven’t clean it properly. There is still leaves inside the pool. We only know the public pool is share by 4 villas. My wife changed into one her wedding dress and asked me to help her so snap some photos around the villa. After some photo shoot around the villa we went back to our room to change to comfy clothes and call the reception to send the buggy to pick us up. When we reach the reception we asked them how far from the villa to sunset dinner. The nice staff informed us we can walk for 30 minutes to the restaurant or call a taxi for us.
The taxi is blue in colour and it run on meter which I think is quite good because they can’t simply just put a price. There is a minimum charge of Rp 15,000. When we inside the taxi we asked the taxi driver where is best place to have our sunset dinner. Then he told us there is another place where mostly all tourists will go there. Is located at Jimbaran also and the first place we reach is the new area and he sending us over another side is the old area. The old place you will need pay some sort of admission fees which the taxi will pay for us upfront. I’m not sure which restaurant the best so the taxi just drive us into a restaurant. We are greeted by the staff and offered a welcome drink and a flower. You should go look and weight the seafood that you want to eat.
Most of the people came over Bali they sure ordered some lobster and king prawn to eat. We ordered a lobster, white squids, prawns, coconuts drinks, some veges. The environment is astonishing with the sea rush to shore and splashing over the shore. We didn’t knew that there is an earthquake and Indonesia raise a possible tsunami. Both of us was still having our dinner so nice till we knew the reach back our villa and check the Internet. I will recommended to get a taxi ready or tour guide with you if you want to have sunset dinner at my place here. When I come from my villa it only cost me Rp 20,000 but when I come out from the restaurant they offered us for Rp 30,000 what a cut throat. Then outside the restaurants there is taxi around which I think is touts. They charge us Rp 100,000 then try to reduce to 90,000 then 60,000. Even though I know Bali the sky turn very dark when it reaches 7pm but what the hell they open this kind of price..
Walk a further down we offered by another group of touts for Rp 60,000 to our villa but we turn them down then they ask us what price we would like to pay and we told them we came down here only Rp 20,000 and now you’re charging us Rp 60,000 then he say how about 50,000 then we say NO!. Do you know what they told us.. Rp 20,000 you go drive your own or walk all the way back with a harsh tone! Kanasai!!! WTF!!! this kind of people.. BAD IMPRESSION!!! WHICH I WOULD NOT BE BACK THERE!!! WISH THEM EVERYDAY ALSO NO BUSINESS.. then a staff at one restaurant saw us wandering for a taxi back then he told us walk down a bit there is a meter taxi. Then we say thank to him and I think I might come back to the shop to have our dinner next time. We down a dark area and there is a meter taxi and he agree to fetch us back to our villa for Rp 25,000 so nice of him.
We were very thankful to the restaurant staff who help us even though we didn’t dine at his restaurant and the taxi driver who accept our offers and send us back to our villa. When he sent us back to our villa and we pity him because he has to search his whole body and taxi just to give us back our change. Thanks!!! Then we reach the reception the staff at the front desk told us that our photographer and make-up artist has arrived at the airport and they are sending someone to pick them up. At last.. they arrive.. then they asked us about the food we had and told us we might get a free taxi ride back if we keep the coupon. I was dumb a moment.. I need to clarify with my colleague about this. Then we surf the Internet at the recpetion area which only has one PC. Then we only knew just know there is an earthquake and tsunami warning is hoisted. We were like…thanks god!
After finish browsing and reply some mails the staff send us back to our villa and we waited a while in room for our photographer and make up artist until my wife dozed off to sleep. I was watching AXN channel keep walking in and out from the room to see whether their has arrived. I also didn’t knew when I dozed off to sleep while lying beside my wife. After a couple of hours we got phone call and it was from the photographer and make up artist. They ask us to come out to the living hall to meet each other and inform where we are going to our photo shoot. We met Eugene & Shirley whom are photographer and make up artist for another couple who is living the room above us and Sam & Tong Tong who are my wife and my photographer and make up artist. We had some ice breaking and getting to know them and the another couple. Then we told them we saw them at the airport and they told us why they missed the flights and all the delays we had..
After the chat we back to our room to call the day off because the next morning we will need to get up early for make up and photo shoot…
Ole Bali!!! (Part 1)
Dear Friends & Families,
Is been quite some time again that I blog something. From my blog stat I can see not many people is coming back to check out what I’m writing. Well I hope this post can bring back some life into this blog of mine.
I think most of my friends and families knew that I went to Bali a few days ago for my Pre-wedding photo shoot and Pre-Honeymoon. It is quite an experience I had during my stay at Bali. Early the morning my god brother of mine pick me and wife up and sent us to LCCT to catch our AirAsia flight to Bali. Nice of him to wake up so early on Sunday to fetch us to LCCT. Thank you! When we reached at the airport we proceed to send our luggage to security check and check-in our luggage. We waited quite a long time and the queue was so long. We queued for almost an hour just to check-in our luggage. Too bad I needed to skip my breakfast thanks to the long queue.
After check-in our luggage we went to the restroom for one last time before we boarded our plane. Outside the restroom we saw our photographers with their big backpack. Wanted to say “Hi” to them but is awkward because we haven’t met them before. After doing our business in the restroom we proceed to the boarding place. What could I say is quite a long walk to the departure hall. Previously, I took domestic flight I didn’t walk so much. WTF! I need to carry my camera bag and hugging my wife wedding dress all the way to the departure hall. Is quite tired. At the departure hall we waited for a while then we heard our flight is ready to boarding. Queue up again to board into the plane. Another 5 minute walk to the plane.
After reaching inside the plane, we were greeted by a nice stewardess and offered us to keep my wife wedding dress and my coat at the captain cockpit. Nice of her. Thank you. Then we move into the plane and find our seats and the nice stewardess came over to our seats and informed us that my wife dress to big in a nice way that it might spoil my wife dress. Then we put in on top the compartment. During the flight we bought some food and drinks. I will recommend you all to order it early before you board your flight because they didn’t keep much stocks. The nasi lemak and the orange juice is nice. I heard that you will get discount if you order your food online before your flight.
Our flight was delayed because there is 12 people haven’t board into the plane. Waited a while the stewardess informed that they need to discharge some luggage from the plane. The flight took us almost 3 hours plus to reach Denpasar, Bali. The time at Bali and Malaysia is the same. There is no differences between this two place compare to Jakarta is one hour late than Malaysia. After touch down Bali we proceed to walk to the Bali customs. It took us almost another hour to wait for the queue to let the Bali customs to stamp our passport and let us in. I’m not sure that is all the Customs’ personnel are so bad mood face. Maybe then need to be like this because ward off bad apples. After we got our passport stamped we went to collect our luggage and walk out from the airport. We look around for someone with a card with our name but happen no one was on sight with our name card. Waited around 15 minutes and we called to the travel agent and only he informed us that he forgotten our flights even our whole booking. W T F!!! we cancelled our tour that day and informed them we call back them if we need them.
to be continue…

30/01/2010 – One Utama CNY photoshoot.
Dear Families & Friends,
My earlier post I post some of the pictures that I taken from KLCC with my new toy. Chinese New Year is just right at the corner and many decorations have put up to usher 2010 Chinese New Year. This year is the year of Tiger. Many shopping centers decorated their store something related to Tiger.
I went to One Utama at Damansara with my god brother for another photoshoot. This time is Chinese New Year or CNY theme. Got our babies ready and we went to Sakae Sushi to have our brunch. After our brunch we went our way to start our photoshoot session. Most of the photos I’ve taken is indoor so not much different to compare with others.
During that day there is many events happen. There was lion dance, 988 roadshow and Hyundai roadshow. Just to name a few. I didn’t get the oppurtunity to snap some pictures of the lion dance because we were watching “Legion” at GSC. I got my snapping fingers to snap some photos of other roadshows held there.
Would like to inform you all upront that all the photos has been resized and it might not be as pretty or beautiful as the original. Wait till I get my hands of a online photo album which is unlimited then I share it with you guys. If you like some of the photos kindly give some comments. Thanks!
17/01/2010 – KLCC Photoshoot Session
Dear Friends & Families,

From my previous post that you’ll have knew that I got a brand new hobby and get the gadget also. Last post, I posted I bought Canon 450D. I brought over my baby and my wife to KLCC, Petronas Twin Tower and KLCC garden for photoshoot.
This photoshoot session is with my god brother. He brought his baby also, a Nikon D60. Both of us have our views in certain things so some photos might be the same but in different angle only. Here I would like to share one or two photos that I took that day. On that before we start our photoshoot we went to Burger Kings to have our lunch. Then we went on our way to start shooting.

Biblical Tattoos
Dear Friends & Families,
I was planning to get myself a tattoo soon on my back or at my arm but is not that soon. I was into more biblical tattoos such as Rosary, Angels and more to mention. My personal favourite is War in Heaven. Where you get to see the Angels war with the Devils. Not much picture you can find in the Internet but I found one that I would like it to tattooed at my back but some modification need to be made first.
There is some females angels that is baring all so I need it to change to male angels with Roman soldier attire then a friend of mine suggest less devils in the picture. I would like to have a guardian angel at my back if I can’t have the war in heaven on my back. The guardian angel must spread is wings with God’s light shinning behind him. I can’t wait to have a storyline of angels on my body so I can tell stories to my kids.
