Tell you the truth I don’t have much to write for today. It has been some time for me brain storming until I surf to a website and I saw the pictures. Now, I would like to borrow the picture from their website to talk about it. Every Avril Lavigne’s Fans knew that her concert will be held at Malaysia on the 29 August 2008. Her concert got a lot of negative and positive response. Firstly, when the concert was planning to held at Malaysia, the PAS Youth made some noises. They said her concert is not decent for the youngsters of our society.

Life changes everyday and some people try stopping people for change. Shame on you! Sometime I just don’t understand why Galaxy’s company can start selling tickets even though they haven’t get the approval from the goverment body? Tricky question huh?

After a few days hurray and hurrah, the Malaysia’s goverment at last approved the concert and it will go on show at 29 August 2008. Quote from LYN (Malaysian authorities have reversed their decision to cancel a concert by Canadian pop-rock star Avril Lavigne, saying Saturday that she can perform next week despite complaints her act is “too sexy.” The ministry’s secretary-general, Muzahet Masruri, said Saturday that authorities decided after talks with the concert organizers that Lavigne “can do the show” next week, even though the government would still have preferred a different date.)
Typhoon Nuri Hits Hong Kong on 22/08/2008

I like what I told you at the previous post that i would like to inform you that on last Friday was back from work early because the Hong Kong market was closed for the whole day because Hong Kong has been hit by typhoon Nuri. Hong Kong’s Observatory raised signal 8 at the morning before 8am morning. By night Hong Kong’s Observatory raised another time and the signal rose to 9. “Signal 9!”
OMYG! by raising to signal 9 everyone in Hong Kong were advised to stay at home and some prepare some precautions measures like taping the glass windows and stay indoors. This storm has killed 3 person from the daily I read. The Chinese were worried because the Olympics games was still going on. The typhoon Nuri move to center of Hong Kong around evening and slowly move to Guangzhou. At the Hong Kong territories it has recorded of wind speed of 94kph or 58mph. It was one of the worst hit in the history so far. The previous one was typhoon Dujuan on September 2003.

Samsung Omnia to Buy or Not to Buy?

A few days back I went to check out the new Samsung Omnia. I was planning to watch a movie at IOI mall on last Wednesday with my lovely dear. Too bad even we went there early and even try to make reservation but still no any chance to get two tickets to watch the latest Pixar’s and Disney’s animation Wall.E, more on Wall.E review soon.
With no hope getting tickets for the show we went for a “window shopping” around IOI mall and we was browsing at the top floor. At the corner I saw an outlet. It was PDAexpert’s outlet. Went in and was looking at the display and look whether there is Samsung Omnia. To my surprise there is one unit for sale. I told the sales assistant to let me try out the new Samsung Omnia. Without any hesitation he brought out the unit and show it to me. I asked him whether the unit is a 8GB or 16GB model. It was a 8GB model, after a while of I molesting the phone and I past it back to him to power up the phone. After that he do some minor settings and show me back. I’m not sure whether is my problem or what. I think the the screen is little small compare to the previous PDA phone (HTC Touch), don’t really get used to it. The screen stills looks great and color too. Drag out some widget to play with, then went in to the homescreen. It has the vibrate thingy on when we click to launch a program.
Tested out the Qwerty keyboard and the normal number pad keyboard on the Omnia. I can say is very good compare to my previous HTC touch. It enable user to type in horizontal and vertical. The animation that when we turn the phone horizontal and vertical is quite nice but is quite slow maybe the settings turn to low and the firmware of the phone was G1/G2, I’m not really remembered. I’m unable to test the Video and Music playback due to there is no files to test in the phone so have to skip this round. Then I test the 5 Mega pixel camera, it was fabulous! the image looks sharp and colored. Took a few pictures and then went into the Image viewer. The image viewer is not a standalone program but most of the file can be view here. Is just like file explorer with able to sort out video, audio and etc files to view. The image viewer is nice. Compare to the HTC, Samsung more superior here because when we flick between two pictures there is no lag. The zoom function lag a bit to HTC.
Then on Friday, I was off early from work and went to Mines’ Shopping Center. Maybe last time I didn’t;t notice that there is a Samsung store there. I went in and ask for Samsung Omnia to test out. That time the sales assistant was serving a customer, so I waited for him to serve finish and ask him to show me the Samsung SGH-F480 and Omnia. I can tell you that the sales assistant was so LCLY face. Then there is another sales assistant came back from lunch I think. He show me the F480. His personal F480 which is Olympic limited edition which he told me. It comes with Gold color type of leather pouch. It is slow! no good and not good for big fingers like me. Is just like iPhone you need to use your finger not finger’s nail! No no good!, Then he show me his colleague which I say LCLY phone-Omnia. Play a while! I can say that both of them don’t know how to sell the phone well. I ask them basic phone firmware they can’t even answer me. Doink! BIG BUMMER! Come on you’re Samsung Store’s SALES ASSISTANT! The LCLY that guy no professionalism at all. To all blogger and readers I think you opt out from buying from the shop.
They can’t provide you many details about Omnia. i think I can provide more details to them. My girl was numb when she saw me can speak more better knowledge of the phone compare to two of them. Even worst the LCLY guy said he bought the phone for 2 days or weeks still playing with it. Come on! it is Windows Mobile 6.1 only! Doink! many frustration when I type all this, I think I should stop writing and write something else.
iPhone 3G @ Singapore on 22 August 2008!

I was so delighted that the time has gone so fast. When to check my e-mail inbox again. I recieved another mail from Apple again. The subject is little bit different compare to the previous one. This time the title is “iPhone 3G in Asia”. I was like.. huh! I thought it was Hong Kong market but it turns out to be.. “SINGAPORE!!!!”
Many Malaysians have been waiting for a long time to check out the price of the iPhone 3G at our neighbour country. For what I know the current price that is consider cheap that doesn’t tie to a plan of a service provider is at New Zealand but they need to use some sort of SIM card thingy. I heard that Singapore will have Singtel as the main service provider for the iPhone 3G users in Singapore. If you want a iPhone 3G at Singapore you’ll need to sign up a plan with Singtel. Rumours has it that Apple is appointing Malaysia’s Maxis service provider as the main provider if you want an iPhone 3G in Malaysia. Of course this is just RUMOURS! no news from Apple yet.
Well, all Singaporeans and Malaysians do keep up dated that iPhone 3G will be arriving at Singapore’s shore at 22 August 2008! with one condition that you’ll need to subscribe to Singtel. Bummer!
Apple’s iTunes 7

A very good morning to everyone who still keep updating what is the latest post from my blog. I’m very glad that you come back. Thanks! I hope everyone who loves to read my blog can bookmark it or make a link to your site or blog.
Just want to share with you the frust and anger that I’m having right now while writing this. I went to plug in my iPod Shuffle the first generation into the USB and launch the iTunes that I previously installed in my GF’s PC. I accidentally click the sync button when it prompt up in the iTunes. OMYG! All my mp3 inside the iPod shuffle gone! That is one thing that I don’t like iTunes. Apple still never rectify it for so long of period of time. I think they do this to prevent music pricacy. I hope I’m right. Due to my frustration I click to Apple website and download their latest iTunes software. Currently, their iTunes is at version 7 but I think it should be at 7.1 something. I’m still waiting iTunes fully downloaded into my PC.
Went over to Apple website and under iPod+iTunes tab then a few more clicks, I managed to locate the download button for the latest iTunes 7. The latest iTunes takes up around 60MB of storage space before install. The new updates of iTunes 7 are as follow:- Apps Store, Movie Rental and etc. With the latest iTunes we are able to download rental movie into our PC or MAC then sync it into our iPod or iPhone. Yee Mee!

I’m tired today, wakeup at 6am morning then fetch my girl girl to work. Today, she has training. She has to be there at 7am. I went to lounge and it is dark, no one turn the lights on because not much people. Went over to the couch and rest my bump and plug in my iPod Shuffle’s ear phone into my ear and listen to my favourite tunes. I’m unable to get myself sleep, maybe once i wake up I can’t fall back asleep so easily.
Today, my darling dear came back thought want to make dinner but she is too tired so I didn’t grumble infront of her why she never make dinner. I was too tired also. Fetch her to soundry shop and get some drinks, ice-cream(for me) and a packet of Yee Mee! Went back to our apartment and she said want to cook for me but I told no need because I’m tired I want to get a nap.
Not even 10 minutes lying on the bed, I fell asleep. Wokeup around 10pm+, she was having her dinner and watching one the latest TVB’s movie “Love Exchange”. The show is very nice. I didn’t thought the show will capture my attentions.
I was so happy that everytime my darling dear make or cook for me. I feel very lovely. Well, today she cooked me a bowl of Yee Mee. As you have know that I like Yee Mee a lot, not just that I do like most of the types of mee(s). It has been quite some time that my darling dear cook Yee Mee for me. Today, Yee Mee slightly at the salty side. She add to much of chicken’s stock into the soup. Although, I’m still drinking water while writing this but I’m glad that she will cook for me. Previously, she don’t know how to cook Yee Mee, because of me she learn how to cook. Even though, intial stage the Yee Mee doesn’t taste good but when she cook a few more times, she improves! The Yee Mee that I took today just plain Yee Mee with soya sauce and eggs. Some sort like below.

The Mummy : Tomb of The Dragon

Wednesday, I went to GSC Cinema at IOI Mall Puchong with my lovely girl girl to catch a movie. We’ve not watch any movies in cinema for quite a while. I’m not sure my last movie was.. Oh ya! Wanted. The show, Haih… regretted. Not up to my expectations. It was a long queue at the counter and I forgotten that every Wednesday GSC is giving out discount for movie tickets. Most of the show was fully booked or sold, we even heard one of the people working inside GSC came out and informed us that most of the show has sold out. I was.. WHAT! I’ve been standing there queuing up to wait for my turn. Against all odds I still queue up till I my turn and ask the cashier.. “The Mummy, 9:15pm, got ah?” The cashier didn’t reply me anything but press press and click click then show me the screen which seats are available.
When I saw the monitor screen, I was thinking “oh Shzsad!” it was three row infront of the screen. Well never mind it and I bought the tickets. The cashier was blur or in his world day dreaming. I look at him and say “the mummy, 2 people” and he reply me “12 ringgits”.. I waited for him to print the tickets and he wait for me to pay him. We were staring for almost 5 minutes plus. Then I pass him the money only he print the 
tickets.. GoDaeraf U! Took the tickets and waited at the entrance with my girl girl.. lets’ skip the waiting part and move to the movie. When I checked properly the tickets for our seats, I only knew that very moment our seats is at the back third row. Oh dear! What a shame. My girl was laughing at me. 
blek! Okay okay.. Talk about the movie.. The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon. This installment of the mummy franchise is the third movie. We can even call it as The Mummy 3 to simplify it. The Mummy franchise has interlinked to each other, although the third one you can watch it if you missed the previous two. The first was called “The Mummy” it was at 1999, then the sequel called “The Mummy Returns” it was at 2001 and now after seven years from the previous one, Rob Cohen brings you “The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon” 2008.
The show starts off with narration from Michelle Yeoh as the sorceress telling us that during the ancient China, war is every where and one of the king want rule the whole China with his sword and called him as the first Emperor(jet li). The Emperor will use his prison of wars and mens to build the Great Wall Of China. Those who oppose him will die and buried below the Great Wall. When the Emperor has defeated all his enemy but only left one which is his biggest and fear enemy, DEATH!. He send his Jeneral to search for a potion or way to let him stay alive eternity. The Jeneral when up to a mountain and search for a sorceress(Michelle Yeoh) and brought her to the Emperor. She don’t has the potion or way to give the Emperor eternity life but she know there is a way and it is written down a bamboo book and it is kept is some sort of library. Before, the Emperor send her off with his Jeneral he tell his Jeneral that he will make the sorceress as his queen and no man should come near to her or touch her. While journey looking for the book and coming back to castle romance sparks flew between the Jeneral and the sorceress. When she return to the Emperor with book and she will give the Emperor eternity life but with a promise from the Emperor that she and the Jeneral will get marry. The Emperor agrees to it and the sorceress read the spell in sansskrit and the Emperor feels that he has eternity life. He brought her to a balcony at below she saw the Jeneral was all tied up with chains all on his hands and legs even his neck. The Emperor said if the sorceress became her queen and he will free him but she resist and she saw her lover tore into pieces. Then the Emperor use a dagger and stab the sorceress. Don’t know why suddenly the Emperor feels uneasy and suddenly mud coming out as tears from his eyes and vomit mud and suddenly the Emperor become stone or Terracotta and all his soldiers.
Move on, and it show Brendan Fraser as Rick fishing at the nearby river. He tries hard to fish but end up not fishing but.. shooting fish with his gun. 
Can’t remember so much about the previous movie but in this part 3 it shows that Rick is rich staying in a big mansion with his lovely wife and butler. Not to mention his is retired from tomb digging or exploring. His wife Evelyn is book writer, where she starts off reading a book to a group of ladies. The book is about Mummies.. both of them try to cope with their retirement life but turn out the other way around. Then move to China.. their only son now is all grown up just like his dad that likes to dig tombs. He found an entry to Emperor’s Tomb and he went with his professor. Inside the tomb there are many booby traps and a few men die except the professor and Rick’s boy Alex. Alex found the the case that carry the Emperor’s body, he was so happy until he unnoticed a female assassin behind him. Then it is fight fight.. then the assassin run away.. Alex brought back the Emperor’s body back to the museum. Back to Rick and his wife, the British government want them to return the EYE to China for a good cause. The eye contains a diamond and water that bring the death to life. Then they went to Shanghai to meet up Evelyn’s brother who open up a club and from their we knew that Alex drop out from college and have a fight with Mad Dog who can land an airplane at anywhere.
Move on…skip skip skip.. hey wait a minute! Are you going to read everything and am I going to write everything for you? Go get a ticket at your nearby cinema and go inside and watch..

Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia, IPhone Killer?

Yesterday, I was back home early because Hong Kong market was closed for the whole day due to typhoon. It was at signal 8, from the morning till evening. I’ll get you all updated about the typhoon later. Well, everyone was craze with the IPhone 3G frenzy. All of us want to get hold on it, I know you do because I do want one. The price was a little too expensive. It cost RM3k++ for a 8GB IPhone 3G so what are we going to do? Samsung has an answer for us. They introduced to us SGH-F480 previously, which it has the similiar functionality as an IPhone. This time Samsung introduce a brand new mobile phone to counter attack.. “Samsung SGH-i900″.
Samsung SGH-i900 just launched in Malaysia not long ago. This brand new mobile phone is not running on Symbian or Linux OS but is Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional a brand new update from Windows Mobile 6.0 . In this Samsung SGH-i900 they included the touchwiz from SGH-F480. With this new software we’re able to add widget into our screen. From what I know, that Samsung will add new more widgets for users to download into their mobile phone. Let’s get our fingers crossed. What is the most eyes catching is the 3.2′ WQVGA LCD screen. With that large screen is good video viewing and as you don’t know that Samsung produce good LCD screens and monitors. Samsung SGH-i900 comes with DivX and XviD codecs so we don’t need to convert our own videos to suits our mobile phone. Samsung also included a CMOS 5.0 Megapixels camera at the back of the mobile phone and it comes with latest features such as AutoFocus, Smile Detection and Auto Panoroma shots. At the front is just QCIF quality for video conferincing. It has 128 RAM and 256 ROM in the mobile phone.
Samsung SGH-i900 comes with 8GB or 16GB internal storage, they even included a memory card slot for extra storage. It support microSD and microSDHC up to 16GB. Good for them, and Thank you! SGH-i900 also comes with GPS where we can use it as navigation and geo tagging. The Samsung’s TouchWiz interface is simple to use from inputing texts or data. It has numbers of widgets to get our things done. The screen is sensitive wit tap, swap and other operations such as drag and drop even the on screen qwerty keyboard is easy to use. The size also very slim and chic, it only has 56.9x112x12.5mm, 112gram and it has a plantinum looks that fit snugly into our palm. Don’t worry about the battery life because Samsung promised that it will last longer and detachable compare to others Windows Mobile devices. Samsung SGH-i900 support Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS at 2100mHz and HSDPA up to 7.Mbps. It also comes with Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR including support for A2DP and with WiFi b/g standard.
It also included FM Radio with RDS support into it. The screen is automatically rotate to change to potrait or landscape. Thanks to the accelerometer. Samsung has recommended retail price of RM 2799 for 8GB version and RM 2999 for 16GB and now it is available at our local Malaysia’s Samsung store. The package comes with a battery, Samsung SGH-i900, charger, usb cable, stereo in-ear headset, 3.5mm adapter, PC’s Software and manual.
Hyundai i10

This year everyone is disappointed with the petrol price hike. Everyone is switching their view on small or compact cars for daily usage. Everyone try to save every bit of cents or ringgits on petrol to meet end needs. There are few small cars currently are selling like hot cakes. Just to name a few. Perodua’s Viva, Proton’s Savvy, Naza’s Suria and Inokom Atoz.
All mentioned above just a few that I knew. This time Hyundai introduced to the small car market a brand new car or breed from the company. Hyundai’s new car that just launch here in Malaysia is Hyundai i10. It is a small car that cater for normal daily usage. Example: city driving. I wanted to get a small car for myself because the the petrol price hike. I might think about this car. Okay, lets come back to the car. Hyundai’s i10 comes in 1.1cc 4 cyclinder, but I’m not sure whether it is a DOHC. It has 66.8bhp/49.1kW @ 5500rpm and 99.1Nm of torque @ 2800rpm. Compression ratio is 10:1 it is tuned to run on low octane because it should be fuel economical. It has 2 variant, there is a 4-speed Auto and a 5-speed Manual version for Hyundai i10. The rack and pinion steering system has electric motor asist and the kerb weight 
around 925kgs.
It has MacPherson struts in front and a torsion beam axle behind. 14-inch alloy wheels are standard and with 165/60 tyres. The spare tyre is a full-sized, not a skinny space-saver, but it comes on a steel wheel. The cabin is spacious with the high ceiling although the window sills seem a bit high. The dashboard is usual look in a Korean cars’ interior. The gear is more conventional and functional. The instrumental panel has a large speedometer (optimistically calibrated to 200 km/h) in the centre but absent of a tachometer. For those who are not comfortable without a coolant temperature gauge, you’ll be happy to know that the i10 has one rather than just a warning light. A bad design in my opinion. The centre dashboard is nicely laid with large rotating knobs for the climate control system and the shifter. The audio system is a double-DIN type with MP3 compatibility and also a input point for portable music devices.
The back can accommodation three persons may be a squeeze. We can pull down the 1-piece backrest down for extra storage at the trunk. A nice provision is the parcel shelf which doubles as a cover to prevent people from peeking into the cargo area. It share many engineering elements with the Kia Picanto, the i10 not really a clone of the Kia model. 3565 mm long and 1595 mm wide, as long as a Perodua Viva but wider. Small it may be, the Hyundai engineers have been able to give it a structure score 4/5 stars in the independent EuroNCAP crash test, said to be the best for a car of this segment. The secret is having a lot of reinforcement in critical areas with rigid subframes as well as a ‘hoop’ concept for the pillars.
HSD has ensured that the safety package it provides is comparable to the one in Europe so in spite of the low price of RM48,888, it comes with two airbags as standard plus ABS. In other words, that 4-star rating is also applicable to the model sold to Malaysians. This is not always the case with some other models where the one sold to Malaysians lacks certain safety items which had made it possible to achieve the many stars in the crash test.
Commenting about the price of the car, Dennis Ho, COO of HSD, explained that there are some advantages when it is badged as an Inokom rather than a Hyundai due to provisions of the National Automotive Policy. HSD is giving 5 years or 300,000 km warrant which ever comes first for the i10. For an Auto of Hyundai i10 will cost RM48,888
I’ll Reduce Petrol Price! – True or Untrue?

I try not to start a controversial or making up politics, but today while I was packing up my things to go back home. I went over to my colleague place and I saw a newspaper on his desk and ask him to borrow me to read. I never really read it but just flip thru.
I saw an article in the local newspaper stating that “Petrol Price will reduce…” Malaysia only okay? . In my I was thinking is this just gimmick or just plain politics. I not really into politics. Just like to read what is going on around us. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that he’ll reduce the petrol price if he is in power. Did I read something wrong? I even saw he said if he is the PM. How much will he reduce? 50-70cents. That is quite a lot also. Well let’s see how it turn out to be. Just like what I said.. TRUE or UNTRUE.
