Dear Friends & Families,
I might be little late to write a review regarding the Apple’s IPhone 3G. Many websites or blogs you can just search it thru a search engine and you’ll get to know everything. One easy step is just point your browser to APPLE Website. I know that I like to yak and yak for awhile then only I’ll start telling you about what I want to write.
Well.. Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs annouced in the Apple’s WWDC 08. This round of Steve Jobs’s keynotes are introducing the new Apple’s IPhone 3G on IPhone 1st year birthday. Previously, IPhone came out without 3G capabilities, and many writers agree to Apple’s decision to stick to the EDGE technology because at States not much people is using 3G service yet. Even there is a portion of people in the globe will think like that but as for me I think Apple should have come IPhone 3G at the initial stage. Why? If they’ve come out this 3G IPhone they don’t need to redesign the whole interior of the phone but just minor upgrades in software or others. During the keynote Steve mentioned, even though the IPhone only sold in certain countries but he knew that the IPhone is been used in other countries that don’t get the privileges to have it. This time around Steve made a best decision to made the IPhone available to the rest of the world. Even though “Malaysia” is still left out from list..
Come on Steve!
What have the IPhone evolved from the previous version of EDGE IPhone to 3G’s IPhone?
Well at the exterior..the back panel has a new color which either black or white. The 16GB will have the chance to choose either black or white. As for the 8GB will have to stick with the black panel. The thickness has been shrink a little, but please don’t compare to the Apple’s IPod Touch. Apple maintain the gorgeous large screen and the camera. The downsize is the camera still in 2Mega-pixels and no flash. A little bit of let down in here. The headphone jack now is flushed, so we can use our favourite 3.5mm jack headphones. A good sign here! Now let’s talk about the interior of it. IPhone 3G now come equipped with the latest firmware which they named it “IPhone 2.0″. Previous, owner of the first generation of IPhone can upgrade the to the 2.0 firmware, with or without a price I’ve forgotten. The new firmware came with a few upgrades such as.. AppStore, Support for Enterprise needs, MobileMe, better email management, improve in contact search, additional language support, email attachments support and scientific calculator.

The IPhone 3G also comes with GPS, now with A-GPS and Google’s Maps we can easily locate our location and simplify our way by telling us which is the shortest ways and live update traffic report. The IPhone 3G multi-language support enable the IPhone 3G to input Chinese characters into it. The camera now comes with software to enable photo geotagging. Everyone afraid with 3G capability in the IPhone will wear off the IPhone’s battery very fast…but…. 3G talk-time it last up to 5 hours, 2G talk-time lastup to 10 hours, standby time will last up to 200 hours, internet use will be 5 hours on 3G and 6 hours on WIFI, Video playback up to 7 hours and last but not least… IPodding or audio last up to 24 hours!
